Genesys Medical Devices (GMD) is a product development company specialising in medical devices with electronics and software.
Our mission is to be expert at product development and contract manufacturing. We will never market products in our own right, relying on the expertise of the client or third-party distributors to make products a commercial success.
Our value proposition is reduction of the technical risks in developing and manufacturing a product, leaving clients to focus on understanding the market and the medical application of the technology.
Dr Tim Kannegieter
CEO
Tim is the program manager of all GMD projects, assisting customers define their product and coordinating subcontractors to deliver on time and budget.
Tim has worked as program manager for organisations as diverse as the NZ Defence Force, Fonterra, Engineers Australia and most recently, Genesys Electronics Design.
He is the coordinator of the
NSW Active MedTech Community.
Geoff Sizer
Chief Technical Officer
Geoff's role is to ensure the technical excellence of all products developed by GMD and that they have a clear path to regulatory compliance.

He started his career at AWA in 1979 and later moved to Advanced Systems Research. In those roles, he worked on advanced military communications and control systems, optical fibre and radio-communications and vehicle tracking systems and M2M systems. Since, founding his own electronics consulting firm in 1991, he has delivered projects in virtually every industry and application.

Interns & Students
Genesys partners with local universities and regularly employs undergraduate electrical, mechatronic and software engineers, providing industrial experience or vocational work in the product development arena.
We actively support the development of STEM skills in school students in a variety of ways including technical support for F1 in Schools teams across Australia.
